Privacy and employer respect

See what stays local before you connect anything.

The optional Desktop Companion uses Git metadata from repositories you explicitly enable. It does not upload source code, diff contents, credentials, remote URLs, or environment files.

This policy currently covers the Verxyon website and early access list. Product data practices will be documented separately before private beta.

The sync boundary

Local capture and cloud sync are separate decisions.

Commits first become Draft Work Memories on your device. Only Draft Work Memories you select are sent to the web app, where they remain private and still need review.

Always stays on your device

  • Source files
  • Diff contents
  • Credentials and secrets
  • Repository remote URLs
  • Environment files
  • Full repository path

Included in a selected sync

  • Safe repository alias
  • Draft Work Memory title and summary
  • Commit titles
  • Date range
  • Files, insertions, and deletions
  • File type counts

Product principles

Trust should be inspectable.

Verxyon should explain the data path in plain language at every stage.

Opt in per repository

Nothing is connected automatically. You choose each Git repository and can disable capture later.

Metadata, not code

Local Draft Work Memories use commit metadata. Source code, diff contents, credentials, remotes, and environment files are not uploaded.

Selected sync only

A Draft Work Memory stays on your computer until you select it and start a sync.

Private after sync

A synced Draft Work Memory remains private and still needs review. It never becomes approved or public automatically.
